Abstract: Capturing the Fleeting is an exhibition that presents preserved memories through sculpture to indicate the fleeting nature of life. Boyhood hunting experiences allowed me to witness the transition between life and death. These experiences led to a raised awareness and curiosity about our brief time in this world. Memories of hunting with my family and my father’s occupation of taxidermy informed and provided the inspiration for this body of work.
